WALK FOR FREEDOM
INTERNATIONAL 10KM FUN-RUN-WALK EVENT
SIGN-UP AND EVENT INFORMATION TBC
To celebrate the end of London's COVID lockdown, and share in that excitement with Free The Wild's global supporters, we're asking the community to get out and stretch their legs for the good of those who can't.
Across the world, wild animals continue to suffer in the confines of their glass, steel or concrete enclosures - some are lucky enough to enjoy the benefits of daily care and attention, stimulation and continual supplies of food and water, but many, many more are not.
Help us raise awareness for their plight. Walk, jog or run a reasonable 10KMs (at your own pace, on your own route - no matter where you are) to help us raise their profile and the funds necessary to put our plans for wild animal welfare into practice!
WHERE AND WHEN?
This is an international event.
All timings are listed in UTC (GMT) format.
Wherever you are, anywhere you are, you can take part!
Just make sure you have the space to travel the full distance and preferably somewhere with satellite coverage to track your progress.
25 July 2021
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Wherever you are in the world, you can take part!
Competitors simply need to amass a minimum of £150.00 in donations to take part.
As we get closer to the date of the event, we will release support packs to help participants raise funds and spread the word.
All participants should have access to some form of pedometer or mobile tracking app as we would like to list everyone's results in the days following the event's completion - don't worry, it's not a race, but we would like to keep track of how far everyone went!
Participants will be required to sign-up in advance of the event (sign-up forms will be made available on our website towards the end of June 2021).
All participants will then receive detailed event information via email.
